Should I get training or will I be OK towing with no knowledge?

Towing a trailer or caravan will dramatically affect the dynamics of your vehicle, so yes it is advisable to get training before towing.

Our courses are designed to help you develop your driving skills to allow you to stay safe on the road wether you are completely new to towing or someone looking to refresh their skills having not towed for a number of years or your. For the corporate user we also offer work based courses to either familiarise staff with new equipment or to train new members of staff.

Unlike many of our competitors we don't operate our training courses with large groups people who you don't know, typically our training is either 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 to ensure you receive the attention you deserve.

Do I need to do a test to tow my caravan or trailer?

Car and trailer driving tests (B+E) were stopped on the 20 September 2021. As a result you no longer need to take a test to tow a caravan or trailer. You will automatically have had the B+ E Category added to your license by the DVLA.

New to Towing Course 

Designed for people who have never towed before or have very limited experience, this is a 2  day course (14 Hours)and is designed to walk you through towing, from knowing the legislation that governs towing , walk around checks, hitching and unhitching through to safely manoeuvring the outfit both in a confined space and out on the open road.

As previously mentioned  typically our training is either 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 to ensure you receive the attention you deserve. The total cost of this course is £630* on a 1 to 1 basis or £700* on a 2 to 1 basis.

I know roughly what I'm doing Course

Designed for people who have probably towed before but have had a break from towing or are used to towing a different type  of outfit. This is a 1 day course (7 Hours) and covers the majority of the areas covered in the beginners course but in less depth, it is ideal to help you build confidence and take your driving up a level.

 The total cost of this course is £315* on a 1 to 1 basis or £350* on a 2 to 1 basis.

The total cost of each segment is £157.50* on a 1 to 1 basis or £175* on a 2 to 1 basis.

Corporate Training for Staff

Driver training for your workforce is an important part of the corporate world, our team of experienced trainers can come into your work place and using your vehicles and trailer can help train and improve the skills of your workforce be it introducing a new member of staff to towing through to familiarisation training of existing staff on a new trailer. For on road and manoeuvring training we typically a use 2 - 1 training ratio, however for the "Getting ready to Tow" areas we can train in larger numbers to make training more efficient.
